Kopi Toko Djawa, Bandung
Formerly known as a bookstore called Toko Djawa, they transform the function of its shop into a coffee shop, and keeping its name. The bookstore is an old and antique one, starting their business from Colonial's time until the end of 2017 when the original building's owner's family turned it into a coffee shop.
Located at the most historical area and street in Bandung, Braga street, Kopi Toko Djawa brings out an interesting and slightly modern/antique interior to its customers. Combine with Indonesian traditional fabrics, the wooden furnitures and Colonial's building ambience really gives you a different kind of feelings. Double height ceiling is a Colonial's signature, and with modern hanging lamps they succeed mixing both ambiences really well. And plants! Such a fresher to your eyes, leaving you with a nostalgic feelings while you spend your afternoon gazing outside the glazed walls at the pedestrians. I have a hopeful mind for Braga street to become more beautiful in the near future *fingers crossed*
